SRAM RED ETAP AXS 1X ELECTRONIC ROAD GROUPSET
SRAM’s RED eTap AXS 1x Electronic Road Groupset utilises the Orbit chain management system to keep the chain in place on a 1x set up without the use of a clutch by using a fluid damped rear derailleur. This derailleur features larger X-SYNC pulley wheels and ceramic bearings for increased durability and efficiency, and the same derailleur can be used across the whole gamut of SRAM RED eTap AXS options, whether 1x, 2x, 10-33 cassette or 10-26 cassette. This flexibility means that it is easy to tailor the system to suit the ride without having to buy a different derailleur.
The shifters have undergone an ergonomic upgrade from the previous iteration, for greater comfort and performance. The system retains the same surefooted one paddle per side operation, but now there are 12 gears to choose from. The functionality can be personalised if required using the AXS app to change component behaviour, and there are two Blip ports per side.
